Mentors Wanted!!

 

Mentors needed for youth participants of Straighten Up and Fly Right Inc.

 

Why?

• Mentors assist in making positive choices,

• Mentors and youth explore careers and higher education,

• Improve youths grades,

• Mentors and youth set goals for the future,

• See new things and places, and have fun!

 

What will you do?

Mentors share knowledge of the real world, their advice, and their guidance, to help build a youth's self-esteem that's necessary to strive for success.

 

How does it work?

• Mentors spend 4 to 6 hours per month together,

• Mentors and youth focus on schoolwork,

• Go to movies,

• Sporting events or museums, or

• Mentors talk and be a trusted friend.

 

Participants and mentors are paired in same gender matches for at six months a year. The personal rewards for both the mentor and the mentee are endless.
